Similar stuff happening here is Europe. It so obviously driven by utility company lobbying that it is painful to see people fall for it. But the most likely explanation is that given the historically close ties between utility companies and politics, there are just a lot of nice well paid board positions in the waiting for politicians…
Vote out the corporate democrats
And bring in corporate republicans. If you can learn one thing from the Trump era it’s that he loved corporate tax breaks and corporate welfare.
In California’s case, I believe it’s democrat vs democrat.
