Better for whom? If a CEO is saying this, I tend to think he’s talking about what better let’s his app make money.
Yeah seriously, this is the absolute last guy I want endorsing my phone OS.
I’ve never had an iPhone, but if they keep making Meta execs mad, I may consider the swap.
You think Apple is better than Meta? Meta is fucking awful but at least they aren’t lobbying the US government so they can keep using slave labor.
I love how people online care so much about their privacy and bash on Google and Meta because they want to show them some ads. Apple literally lobbied against preventing using Uyghur’s for forced labor. THEY LITERALLY LOBBIED SO THAT CHINA COULD KEEP MAKING THEIR PHONE USING SLAVES.
Who cares what some blow hard CEO thinks?
I’ve been on the Android train pretty much since the beginning. I had a Motorola milestone, aka the moto “droid” from way back, moved on to HTC, then to Google’s Nexus line and I’ve been riding the pixel train since it came into being. I’ve never used an iOS device as my primary phone, ever.
I’ve had iPhones, and I used them as spare/backup devices or secondary phones for a while. iOS isn’t my cup of tea, but even ignoring all that, there’s precious few features that iOS has implemented before Android had them… Copy and paste comes to mind.
Does that mean iOS sucks, has always sucked, and will always suck? Absolutely not. Use what you like. Enjoy what you like. Features be damned.
The whole Android vs iOS debate is long over blown and so drawn out that it’s boring to even mention. On top of that, both Android and iOS have stolen design elements and features from eachother since day one. They have both trended towards eachother to the point that apart from UI/UX, there’s honestly very little difference for 90% of things. The only major actual feature that’s different right now is the blue vs green bubble thing with text messaging. And again, who cares? The only people that make a stink about it are iOS fanboys trying to mock their non-iOS “friends” and “loved ones”.
It’s idiotic that this even made it to an article. It’s as relevant as “old man yells at cloud”.
who cares
Proceeds to type an essay

This is very true. iOS and Android used to be on completely opposite ends of the spectrum - iOS looked pretty out of the box but you needed to jailbreak to do something as simple as skin your keyboard; Android used to be super confusing but you could customize literally everything. Now they’ve both shifted somewhat towards each other.
Fanboyism (for either side) is bad for consumers in general. I’ll use whatever fits my needs. I’m still on Android because sideloading is a massive draw for me, but it doesn’t mean i sneer at iOS users.

My thoughts exactly. “Guy states an opinion on social media” isn’t really news especially when the guy didn’t even say why he thinks it.
Also who cares? Each OS is “better” to different people who have different needs, why does anyone need to care what anyone else thinks about that? The only person whose opinion matters about this is oneself.
Wish the Snapchat CEO would say that. They finally released dark mode on Android and locked it behind a pay wall on Android only…
