what’s everybody getting?
Hopefully will get… to play:

my backlog. Or get some cheap dlc that always feels slightly better to buy since is for my already owned games.
Spooky!
I like to send my friends bad co op games that are cheap on steam and then making them play it. I was thinking of sending everyone Strange Brigade
I heard that was pretty good so myself and a friend just bought it yesterday. At that price even a couple of hours of fun will be worth it.
This is pretty good online coop.
I’m thinking world of horror.
Oh this one’s been on my radar! Glad to see it’s out of early access.
Dredge and Bladphemous 2
Maybe project zomboid but I’m not sure yet
I’m a bit biased as I’ve owned PZ since 2016, but it’s insanely fun with friends and insanely immersive solo. I’m unsure what you’re looking to get out of it, but I’ve put ~400hrs into it and it’s come a long way but has slow development. Very good modding scene to cover things in the meantime however.
So I like roguelikes that have a sense of progression in them, it’s hard to play something over and over and the only satisfaction they give out is “you went farther then before, here’s some xo and coins”
It seems like it has base building and an organic sense of progression within a run, both make it appeal to me. But I’m just unsure of what I get out of putting 2 to 12 hours into a run and seeing it all be for naught when I die.
The tension and high stakes also appeal to me, fwiw. I’m not saying I shouldn’t care about what I do in the game, I just want there to be something in it for me at the end.
Is the macro gameplay loop more than just getting better at the game so you can survive longer?
Technically not a Halloween sale but I recommend picking up freedom fighters from the publisher sale if you havent played it yet. Fun shooter with some unique twists. Used to be an Xbox cult classic.

There are more fonts out there than Cinzel, I’m sure Valve could splurge for a less generic font for sales banners
