My school is about to start and I am still working. I am just stressing out. Japanese is like a bottomless well.

I am spending way more time than I should learning Japanese and ignoring other things.

I have no choice but to stop learning Japanese. I don’t live in Japan. I probably will never use Japanese.

I am so sorry, sensei.

You can take a break and come back later, or study less. The Japanese language isn’t going anywhere.

I was learning Japanese when I was 17 through 19, then got busy with studies and learning a new language due to immigrating. I am now learning Japanese again after 20 years. Treat it as it is, a hobby you can always pick up later. :)

Just try to maintain what you’ve already learned until you get in a better place. It doesn’t take too much effort to do, and it beats learning everything all over again if you change your mind in the future. Though, if you are certain you are done with it, I guess there’s no point.
