The author really knows how to balance SoL and horror. Just when you thought everything is too happy, the grim reaper appears.
He really does.
I also appreciate how easily he’s able to redeem the “bad guys” of each arc (or at least make them sympathetic and understandable). I thought it would get boring after a while but I kind of like the fact that there are no outright evil characters in the story, it makes the series feel… “warm” to me.
