2·4 days agoNix is new to me, but what I’ve read seems like it’s very polarizing. Curious what kind of real world use makes it a good choice?
It’s been a while but LibreOffice has worked well and exported to PDF without problems for me.

Among early Zionists it was common to label communicative efforts propaganda. Theodor Herzl used the term at the 3rd Zionist Congress in 1899, where he asked fellow Zionists in the audience “to engage in propaganda”. At the time the term “propaganda” was considered neutral. The term is now pejorative. “Propaganda” is now typically used for official government statements or by critics of pro-Israeli advocacy groups to portray the communication as misleading and manipulative.

35·13 days agoImplying that consolidation gives them much more leverage to do whatever they like with more detrimental outcomes for the industry and users.
72·13 days agoMatrix or Jitsi with Lemmy or any popular forum software would be my suggestion. More secure and private but require some technical knowledge.
5·16 days agoUnited States 2025, where laws and ethics don’t mean anything. I know the old man is personally vindictive, but for some reason it’s taken me until this moment to accept that he’s trying to foment something so much worse. 😢
