The third Jake’s Magical Market book; just finished the second one last night. They’re… fine and if it was a normal LitRPG series that goes on forever I would have bailed after the first one, but finding out it was a completed trilogy was appealing enough that I’m seeing them through.

4e did some really cool stuff while also going a bit off the rails for me. I think overall I like 5E more, but we played a ton of 4e and I’ll always remember it fondly. I was really into the more defined roles, and how classes were a bit more self contained so they could just keep making more and more niche ones

Yeah three election cycles and then sunsets itself after 2030, which I really appreciated was baked directly in.

My parents care on the micro level, where it applies to people they directly know, but have no ability to show empathy on the macro level and it breaks my heart.
