Just found this really cool streaming website that has no ads and it searches multiple sources like stremio but without the torrents. https://movie-web.app

This is actually too good to be true, how could this last longer than a week or so in this state? I don’t want to fall in love with something that will leave me

Seriously, this is absolutely stellar! I’ve been loving Goku.to for a while, but this is so beautiful and minimalist and THE QUALITY

I dunno about using it without a VPN, but the quality is much better than Goku.

I’m out of the loop for quite some time. Do you use sites like this with a VPN or TOR?

I was thinking about IP-logging. Lets say the page logs your IP-address, the trolls might get you, don’t they? - In case they bust this lovely page… I’m not sure about it, but in some countries it’s punishable if you download or stream copyrighted content. That’s why I usually use a VPN, but as I said - I don’t know if I’m up-to-date on this topic.

The biggest problem with torrenting is that you not only download, but also upload. In most (actually all) cases of copyright infringement letters I know of it was about uploading.

While they could propably attack you for downloading, they can’t really prove any losses and if they do they will be so low that it isn’t profitable fot them to pursue you. The damages they want from torrenting is because you “multiplied” their work by uploading it to others.

And that would mean the piracy site logged your ip (which is likely considering how sketchy some sites are, but may also not happen) and law enforcement somehow got these ips (highly unlikely) and shared them with copyright trolls (I think because I don’t think law enforcement will go after small fish like that and prosecute you for watching Marvel without paying) and I don’t see why law enforcement would share them.

But I don’t know law and I just never heard of someone getting a letter from copyright trolls for downloading over http. I am in Germany BTW so it may be different in other countries

I think that a good ad blocker would be more important on this type of site.
