50/50 chance this breaks Deck and linux support, especially since the commenters’ inquiries about it have gone unanswered.
Bogles my mind why a PvE game needs an anti-cheat at all - let alone something as invasive as a rootkit.

Well shit… I was really excited for this game. My kids and I loved the last one, so many laughs. No way will I expose any of my hardware to this crap though.
Precisely why I have had to (sadly) put Monster Hunter on the shelf. Do not need these scummy companies fucking up my installation and then pointing to some dubious indemnity clause in the terms of service.
