The Idaho Legislature has approved funding for a 26-bed facility after ProPublica found that state lawmakers and officials ignored repeated warnings about the practice of locking up mentally ill patients who hadn’t been convicted of a crime.
If prisoners are comfortable in any way in America, that is a bad thing apparently.
There’s a huge contingent of people in the U.S. who think that if you’re in jail, let alone prison, meaning you may not have even gone to trial yet, you deserve to suffer as much as possible. There are millions of people who think that you deserve to suffer just because you were arrested.
Why can’t the shitter be comfortable? Like that toilet seat probably costs more to make and is harder to clean. Hell, why give a toilet seat at all?
