No, but he is the sole side-character who has a full world guide chapter equivalent to that of the five members of the main cast.
He has experience with a previous dungeon-economy town, and was taken in by one of the elves that dealt with the disaster caused by the expansion of the Utaya dungeon. It makes him a little more sympathetic, but I still don’t like him as a person. It doesn’t really feel like he’s genuinely selfless, more like his past is a convenient excuse for him to act like he is.
