After the dissolution of Galaxie 500, Dean Wareham went on to form Luna, or initially Luna2 because of a dispute with another band.

For some reason, their first album Lunapark, that Slash Your Tires is on, had an Australian vinyl pressing released by Summershine Records. The label was named after the record store that the label founder also ran. I used to buy records there; much of my early Shoegaze knowledge was picked up from hanging out there, and so I have a copy of it. Discogs tells me it’s one of the more valuable pieces of vinyl I own, as apparently there was no other vinyl pressing made upon its original release.
