Health is a relative term. If you are hungry it is better to eat than to not, no matter what the food is or when it is, imo.

The problem is when it’s not hunger but anxiety compensation or bulimia.

Depending how hungry you are it can be true. If you haven’t eaten for 4 days straight it’s definitely better to eat something, anything at anytime but if your last meal was less than 24h ago then it’s even beneficial to your body to just wait a little bit longer.
Since ancient times it wasn’t uncommon to go a day without a meal. Only recently (last 300 years) it has become a norm to eat 3 meals a day. (Some eat even more) But your body is more than capable of not eating for a day or two. There’s absolutely no health risk to go a day without a meal unless you do this too often.
