Before my sister had kids (now 5 and 7) i always felt like the whole: no ipads for kids is way overblown. Now it actually terrifies me. See how they recat to smartphones is insane. My sister told the older to bring her her phone. I watched him run into the kitchen, picking it up and then walking back in a snails pace, just starring at the lock screen like a crack addict, because it might light up or some video starts playing.
I was grocery shopping and some child, sitting in a shopping cart playing Fortnite on his phone or a phone, who knows. He was too old to sit in a cart and too young to play fortnite (imo) the cart was in the middle of the main isle, so you couldn’t pass with another cart. I just gave him a push and he rolled away. He did not look up, i don’t even think he realised it. Just fragging away. The thing that actually kind of made me sad was that when i was his age, i really liked going grocery shopping with my mom.
