Sounds like it’s focused on internal trade and global investment, I know 30 days isn’t a long time, but maybe we can be better prepared, reducing our reliance on the yanks certainly seems to have public support so there’s that.

Sadly, most “Canadian Businesses” have made public responses designed to ensure Canada submits to being 51st state. The “interesting outcome” to look out for is whether the business attendees support anger or submission after the conference.

The majority of Canadian business’ have been going out of their way to buy and promote Canadian goods from what I have seen.

Where are you seeing “most Canadian business’” say or do otherwise?

Shopify CEO was posted here. Financial Post did a tone deaf editorial mocking anger, and that surrender was only proper choice. The vast silence is tacit approval, IMO. Sorry, can’t provide more specifics.

The Shopify CEO that’s hated by a ton of people due to COVID layoffs and shuttering the Waterloo office? And the Financial Post, the magazine for rich people who still suck Elon’s cock? Not very representative of “most Canadian businesses,” IMO.

You should inform your opinion further if your only sources are a post on Lemmy, and a single editorial from Post media.

There has not been vast silence about this, and the majority are pushing to “Buy Canadian” from what I have seen. I cannot leave my house without hearing people talk about it and seeing signage in business’ pointing out Canadian products.
