Who knows if the much teased Oblivion remake or remaster is happening, but a glossy makeover risks missing the point. Morrowind, meanwhile, is ripe for it.
Maybe a good chunk of my opinion on it is due to having grown up with that era of crawlers. Like I said, maybe I’m an odd duck on this one but I still play Daggerfall occasionally to this day. 🤷♂️
Do daggerfall and arena too
Maybe not for everyone, but I feel like Daggerfall still holds up to scratch the crawler itch. Especially with Daggerfall Unity out there.
First person dungeon crawlers are my jam but Daggerfall absolutely does not hold up. It’d need a total reconceptualization.
