Richard Roundtree, the trailblazing actor for Black filmmakers who starred as the ultra-smooth private detective in the 1971 action movie “Shaft” and several sequels, has died.
My brother and I saw Shaft at a local theatre a couple years back. Picked it at random knowing nothing and it was fantastic, and is one of my favorite endings to a movie ever. If you’ve never seen it I recommend giving it a try. May his legacy live on.

The original, or the more recent remake with Samuel L. Jackson?
The original, I didnt know they made a remake. My local theatre does a lot of rescreenings.
