I hate menus and bots on phone calls, but kinda don’t mind them as much in text. I do a fair amount of shopping on Amazon and thus have had a few problems with products/returns/etc and they’ve helped me out in less time than it would take to get a person on the line, have them look shit up, etc.
But ‘Please listen to carefully as our menu options have changed: <proceeds to spend 90 seconds just listing fucking options only to discover that there isn’t an option for what I’m calling about>’ can get fucked.
