I went in expecting another beautifully animated adventure anime. What I got was a rollercoaster of pain, wonder, and existential dread wrapped in a deceptively cute art style.

The worldbuilding is insane, the OST haunts me (Kevin Penkin is a genius), and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since the final episode.

Seriously, how do you all cope after finishing something like this? Any other anime that hit you just as hard?

(P.S. Please no manga spoilers, I’m still emotionally recovering.)
