according to the SPLC, California has more white supremacist groups than any other state….
i’d guess that the past couple of months have weeded out the ones opposed to treason…
that’s why the have to slowly roll out fascism…

We are the most populous state by a solid chunk so I’d kinda expect that. Also NorCal and the Hi-desert have a lot of backwoods militia types, also we have a lot of cults what I wouldn’t do to purge all those fuckwads cultist up in the San Bernardino mountains. Cults sully the precise murderous madness of San Bernardino with their love bombing dishonest bullshit, if you are gonna stab a man do it to their face.

Now that is a fair point to make, though I do suspect that has more to do with the size of the state relative to how much of it is if not nice then livable. Lots of nooks and crannies that are remote but not entirely away from civilization, and within civilization there are lots of insular little gatef fuckwad communities.

well i mean, “the inland empire” isn’t exactly great….
i heard it was because a lot of southerners came over around the great depression and then wwii, bringing racist groups with them… and then resentment over black people that moved over to fill factory jobs during wwii… but i dunno, im not historically educated

It goes further back than even that, almost the whole of SoCal was aligned with the South during the lead up to the civil war and the only reason the state didn’t split in two is cause the rest of the state was already prepared to stop it. Then after the civil war a bunch of folks returned but we’re politically and socially countered by generally egalitarian Scots-Irish and Germans from Appalachia and the Great lakes regions. This caused fighting though it didn’t last long because the Mormons started moving in at high numbers, which pissed basically every not Mormon off resulting in the fighting going cold more or less because Mormon bad.

You only really start seeing the racism becoming a problem again around when the first generation of Hells Angels pops up, which probably was from general migratory factors from the South. Regardless the Inland Empire is basically a coin flip on what you’ll get, could be the single most racist person alive or it could be someone so egalitarian in their thinking that John Browns ghost is telling them to chill it just a bit.

They were founded in 1948, generation one of the hells Angels were WW2 vets. They did swell up in numbers during and after Vietnam but they were pretty old already by that point.
