OBS already does screen recording on Wayland…
Is it GPU accelerated?
If you use the correct encoder, yes.
OBS is not properly gpu accelerated on nvidia. It copies the video frame to the cpu and then back to the gpu every frame. If you have an older cpu/slower ram then this causes huge fps loss in games.
