Wonderful painting, I spotted it in a charity shop a few weeks back and was very tempted to buy it, but the colour was rather washed out.

I sent the pic to my friend who said it’s one of his all time favorites, I put the snap on Pixelfed and someone appeared almost instantly to tell me this is in fact terrible art.

A while ago I visited a museum and I had to give them my purse because it could contain paint. Well once I saw the exhibition I thought me spraying some paint would actually improve it. I mean there was literally a toilet roll. Mind you I had to run back like 5 times because I need the stuff in my purse 24 7.

So ya some people love that stuff but ya give me preraphaelite any day.

I appreciate Duchamp’s Fountain too, but don’t really have a room that would suit it :)

My son’s 9, art obsessed and recently declared he wants to go to art school, the stuff the art graduates are turning out was not what he expected, it wasn’t at all like his Youtube shorts art feeds 🤣

To be honest I appreciate Fountain because it really upset me the first time I learned about it, but a lot of stuff that comes after doesn’t grab me that way, with exceptions of course.

So tell me, what is his yt shorts feed like? It must be great knowing he is into art.

I think the only thing I miss from Facebook years back was the Terrible Art in Charity Shops group. I was quite please to find good art and surprised to get an instant ‘yuk’ 🤣

It was just a confused Welshman, the only person I’ve come across to blame something, blood libel, on Geoffrey of Monmouth that wasn’t actually his fault after insulting the painting.
