Toucans, or at least the kind we had, have serrated beaks, so in addition to the clamping force, they can tear your flesh while they’re at it.
I do believe they have less bite force than most macaws, but they’re also less docile than most macaws also. Macaws rarely use anywhere near their full power when biting things or people.
Really? I figured they would have less bite force due to the shape, more kitchen tongs than Macaw’s metal shears for a beak
