A bizarre racist outburst at a Texas school board isn’t an isolated event — it’s part of a national pattern

Dope guy makes sense but that still doesn’t change my opinion that the article is rage bate on the level conservatives put out. Frankly I think it’s rage bait to sway minority groups back to the democratic party since trans people have been unfortunately the scape goat republicans use since Trump’s comments about Mexicans have backfired. Republicans have been gaining support from certain minority groups since that story has died down and democratic have noticed. And no I’m not advocating for tolerance of the intolerant. I just don’t believe we should make a big deal about a couple of idiots comments because when something actual note worthy happens it will just becomes more noise in the constant news of culture war.

Didn’t miss the point. The reason these idiots even have a platform is because you and OP are giving it to them. Your falling for the rage bait and spreading it through a post just how conservatives started to spread bullshit on Facebook. Unless your following up with an actual call for action your just spreading their message and so far alot of responses on this post have been just “fuck em”.

TLDR: You guys posting rage bait are just the moderates the guy in the video described. Y’all are just contributing to the echo chamber’s we have setup for ourselves to stroke our ego’s instead of actually doing something.

Alrighty you seem to have me confused for a moderate with the belief that if we go kumbaya with republicans things will get magically better. So let’s establish what I believe.

            • The Jan 6 rioters should have received capital punishment.
            • Every person that was a part of Trump’s cabinet should also be tried for complicity in every charge Trump receives. They were 100% complacent in the corruption.
            • Churches should lose their exemption from taxes since they are 100% involved in politics. The Quiverfull movements is hilariously going down the giliad republic route.
            • Adding to the above, trump won the 2016 not because of the racist support, but because radical christian’s infiltrated the republican party. Most racial minorities agree with the bullshit republican’s spit out because they are religious.
            • The military industrial complex needs to be shut down. We don’t need an 30 billion dollar 5th gen stealth fighter when we have the f-22 already.
            • Corporations should lose their rights as individuals and a new wave of anti-trust busting is needed.

Now the reason why I believe these post’s are not helpful, is because it’s literally what we did during the 2016 election. We as millennials fucked up by not doing more. We voted (I know, not enough of us voted) and named & shamed people but it was too late for that. It was too late because the culture wars had started and everyone was finding their comfy spots in their echo chambers.

These post about republican’s being boogeymen are just going to be read by people who agree with you and anyone who tries to say anything that isn’t a copy & paste will just be ridiculed out. Instead of just posting these rage bait articles, that are eerily reminiscent to the conservative posts of facebook & twitter in the mid 2010s, post something like the one that provided a link to the FBI’s list of unidentified Jan 6 rioters. Posting rage bait is just feeding the endless cycle we’re stuck in of “vOte Blue nO maTter WhO” even though democrats are the new conservatives and republicans are the fascists party.

PS. Voted for Bernie in the primaries. Voted for Hilary and Biden in the general’s. Participated in the 2016 BLM protest in Houston, and I regret not doing more. The only reason why I posted in the first place was to hopefully convince people to not turn this place in the toxic echo chamber reddit became.
