One of the reasons given as to why GrapheneOS is not available for the Fairphone is because the end user cannot lock the bootloader.

I just replaced the battery on my pixel 7 and I’m asking myself the same. I use my phone for fewer tasks than you. Calls and messages only.

As far as smartphones go the pixels aren’t so bad if you ignore the endemic battery issues that have affected every pixel device from the 4a up…

I’ve been playing Switch games just fine on my SD. Currently enjoying Fire Emblem Engage which runs flawlessly, Three Houses also runs well. The same is true for many (most?) of the Switch library. I already have a 3DS but the Steam Deck can handle those games too. Likewise NDS games. I only play a handful of games on each system. It’s convenient to have my entire game library on one device, especially on the road.

I use my Steam Deck primarily for emulation, especially Nintendo IP. NDS, 3DS, N64, Gamecube, Switch. It’s the best Nintendo device that I’ve ever owned and it hasn’t been bricked or even threatened with such.

The Chinese people do not exist in a state of peace with the CCP, that political monstrosity is one of the many reasons why there has been a rush of Chinese citizens leaving the country. The pandemic fully exposed how destructive and nefarious the CCP is. First they denied it started in China, followed by a weak attempt to blame foreigners for covid-19. It ended with the CCP welding people into their homes, caging Chinese citizens and allowing human beings to literally starve to death.

While the Chinese government pushes a very nationalistic message, It really isn’t pro-human in the slightest. The CCP top brass has been content to exploit the poverty of its populace in order to enrich themselves.

They have killed plenty of their own citizens.

Developers have been using Linux for a while. There are tools for CAD and video production too.
