Bahahahaha!
Bahahahaha!
That movie is such a gem, must be due a rewatch!
I guess the difference for me is you don’t really watch Fight Club for the spectacle of the fight scenes, like you would in The Matrix or Die Hard. Yeah it’s got fighting in it but the action isn’t really the point of the movie, it’s about the growth of the fight club and relationship between the 3 main characters.
Fight Club and Blade Runner I wouldn’t really consider as action movies at all. You’d may as well put the Princess Bride in there if you’re playing that fast and loose with the genre.
The Raid definitely deserves a place. Id put Death Proof in there too, because I don’t think it’s all that well known.
I’m not here to kink shame but that’s pretty gross
Shout out the Merri Creek!
As a Chef you learn a lot about food allergies and different dietary requirements and the one that I dread the most is a customer with an anaphylactic nut allergy.
As far as I know a few nut crumbs can be enough to kill someone with a serious nut allergy, it must be so restrictive for people who suffer from it.
I see what you’re saying, the tokens represent access to a finite amount of resources and creating more tokens won’t create more resources. I get that.
But if the problem isn’t with the amount of resources but with their distribution, then redistributing the existing tokens out of the hands of the greedy hoarders must help the rest, mustn’t it?
Edit: I can’t believe I’m sitting here arguing with someone on the goddamn Internet. Must be out of my damn mind
Ok but the way I see it there are 100 people and 1000 tokens. Instead of every person getting 10 tokens, one guy has 998 tokens and everyone else argues over the remaining 2. Would killing the one rich guy not free up some tokens for the rest of us?
Imagine being so naive as to believe massive wealth hording deprived others! What turkeys! Amirite?
I’m from New Zealand and my mother still brings this up every time France is mentioned in any context.
Well they look great!
Curious what that’d set you back?
To get something like that where I live here in Melbourne id say you’d need to go to a specialty hot dog spot and would be lucky to pay less than AU$18 (US$12)
Looks good tho id probably pay it.
Im just here for the memes
I think the opposite is true with spices. They’re so dry it would be uncommon for them to ever spoil like fresh foods would, but over time their aroma and taste weaken to the point that there’s really no point in using them.
Genuinely good info, I’ve never come across a unit with knobs and a good ceramic hob would go a long way to helping my slow cooking gripes.
Maybe the induction I’ve used have just been crappy. One turned itself off after 10 hours because who could possibly want to cook something for longer than that?
Will definitely keep your words in mind next time I look at induction equipment!
Are you suggesting some kind of sous vide setup or do you just stick the immersion element right in whatever you’re cooking?
While I agree with the simplicity of cleaning and quick heating the induction cooktops I’ve used have had drawbacks.
One had a touch panel control that would switch the whole range off and lock itself it it got wet. I’ve also yet to see one that does very low temperatures well, they seem to just click on and off thermostat style which isnt what I like for slow cooking.
And at the end of the day it’s just a personal thing, I like seeing the flame. The simplicity of it. I like the analogue the controls. I just find it satisfying.
Progress is progress and induction cooking with solar power may be the way of the future, but I don’t think its accurate to say there are no drawbacks to making the switch.
Id say they’ll be pretty safe out of the fridge, but if you keep them in the fridge they might stay firmer longer. Like more bite. They might go mushy in the cupboard.
