The heritage foundation has an argument prepared for the inevitable supreme court case. I think it’s shit, even for them, but SCOTUS seems like they’ll go along with anything.

Their argument hinges on the phrase “and subject to the jurisdiction there of” claiming that this somehow excludes non-citizens. Accepting this argument would have the weird implication of saying that non-citizens in the US are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US. So… how do other laws apply to them? How could they be charged with working or entering the US illegally?

We need to make detentions and deportations difficult. For a group and keep your eyes peeled. Report any activity that you see by CBP in your area. Be a nuisance. Film them. Shout at them. Drive slow in front of their vehicles. If you can, do more that I won’t say online.

Were the standards any different in the 80s? I’ve heard stories of people getting “corrective surgery” in infancy but the cases that I’ve heard are not from the US or are much older.

I have scars around and on my genitals. When I was young my mom told me that I had surgery just after I was born. Now as an adult, I think I may have been born with some sort of intersex condition but I am afraid to talk to my parents about it.

There are quality fabrics still manufactured but they are not often used in mass production of garments.

Any garment production requires scrap fabric. However a crafts person can repurpose and use those scraps where as a factory will just discard them. Also a huge amount of the waste in fast fashion in over production of products that don’t even sell and never get used before going to a landfill.

I don’t know enough about sewing or programmable vector designs (heck, I don’t even know what it’s call). So, I can’t really contribute to the project. But I really want it to grow, so I promote it wherever I can.

I dream of it taking off like blender or Wikipedia and eventually having an archive of thousands of designs. Even, if most people wont sew their own it would help some people start small businesses creating quality clothing.
