I’m happy to see it will be primarily single player. I would absolutely hate to see a production line I spent hours building and fine tuning being constantly under attack.
I like to play my RTS games like a mix of Tower Defence and Sim City, ending with a complete easy mode power fantasy steamroll of the enemy base. That doesn’t work well with PvP multilayer.
It’s hard to boycott the price gouging bastards when it’s just 3 companies owning the entire market of what you literally need to buy every week to live.
The best I can do is make maximum use of my local farmer’s market but it’s closed for the season now. Which is a bummer because not only it was cheaper, but the produce was fresher and of higher quality.

Soon on the battlefield: “Sorry, the tank’s turret and armaments are now disabled because the system detected that the engine’s coolant level is running low. Please return the tank to our approved service centres located on the other side of the world to have its entire coolant system replaced by our qualified technicians at exorbitant prices. Turnaround time: 6 months.”

Wait for it.
As long as you got your ingredients right, a crappily rolled sushi will still taste good

The passive aggressiveness of that title is 👨🍳 🤌
I’m still running my old 90’s computer that started with just 2 MB RAM. All I need to do is use this floppy disk whenever I need more. I’m at 32 GB now and I’ll use it again when 64 GB becomes a requirement.

That would be cool to be able to run some apps in a sandbox on a PC just because it would be far easier to circumvent the increasingly intrusive data collection.

When in a gold rush, be the one selling shovels.
I’m off to buy stocks in bananas.

Shit like that is why AI is completely unusable for any application where you need it to behave exactly as instructed. There is always the risk that it will do something unbelievably stupid and the fact that it pretends to admit fault and apologize for it after being caught should absolutely not be taken seriously. It will do it again and again as long as you give it a chance to.
It should also be sandboxed with hard restrictions that it cannot bypass and only be given access to the specific thing you need it to work on and it must be something you won’t mind if it ruins it instead. It absolutely must not be given free access to everything with instructions to not touch anything because your can bet your ass it will eventually go somewhere it wasn’t supposed to and break stuff just like it did there.
Most working animals are more trustworthy than that.

Gabe wins the internet once again.

So how does that work since he’s turned the US into a third world country?

What if, bear with me here, what if people just don’t have as much disposable income after the dramatic transfer of wealth to the rich class we’ve been seeing?
The economy is collapsing and the lower classes are feeling it already. The rich investor class isn’t seeing it because the tech industry has been propping up the market with their investments going all-in with unrealistic expectations for AI technology. We are currently experiencing a K-shaped recovery where the richest are on a spending spree while the poorest are cutting back their expenses. How much more obvious must it be that this is what’s going on?
You want the general population to start wasting their money on useless crap again, you’ll have to give them more money to work with.

I’d say it’s more akin to a bread company saying that it is a violation of the terms and services to get sick from food poisoning after eating their bread.

He was sent by someone to do this. No wonder Trump is defending him. He know if they throw him under the bus he might talk.

I am sceptical when it comes to electronic safety features that downright take control of the vehicle from the driver. The idea and intent might be good but when you put it in the hands of a car manufacturing company that wants to save money it can quickly turn into something that is more dangerous if it is not regulated properly.
A great example is the ABS system. I learned to drive without it. Then some car companies did the half-assed implementation of a single channel system. (Essentially of only one wheel lost traction all braking power would be severely reduced on all wheels). That shit was downright dangerous in the winter. I had to use the handbrake to not end up cutting into a busy intersection because my breaking power had been reduced to almost zero by the ABS system because one wheel was on an ice patch. For as long as I had that car after that, I had the ABS fuse pulled in the winter.
Now my fear is a half-assed automatic braking system that brakes without warning for no good reason.
They know how to spell. But it must be very difficult to type with paws.
Doo too doodoo-doo doodoo-doo doodoo-too doodoo doo doo doodoo doo doodoo doo.
He’s speaking as he was already in control of the country. He’s not. Unless they manage to place their own puppet government that the Venezuelan population will accept (unlikely, as typically those are even worse for the population than the government they replace), they’re going to have to put boots on the ground and it’s going to get messy and expensive.
