If we need a behavioral science paper to understand such an elementary thing, really we have lost as a society.

Our PIGS brothers ❤️❤️❤️
At least they are legally employing people, in other countries in Southern Europe people work an illegal amount of time but as long as the official contract declares a lower amount of hours it’s fine (neither retirements funds nor taxes nor insurance are paid for the extra time, obviously).
Maybe try to seduce policemen being better at sexting?
Me not having any chat because I don’t have any friend
I agree in that Summit is the most feature complete and polished Lemmy client for Android.
All Android developers rn:
I don’t know why, but if I figure in my head him telling that word with his voice and his Argentinian accent it sounds almost funny.
Since he is a foreigner, I assume he does not fully understand how vulgar and derogatory that term is in Italian. The result is “hilarious”, because as a native you realize he didn’t mean to use that word, like e.g. when a child uses a swear word thinking it is in the right context while it’s not.

You stole the words from my mouth.
The customers of those two banks should express their gratitude to their governments!
There are also analogies with maintaining legacy code bases as software developers:
Good they are holding a referendum to give people the opportunity to choose for themselves instead of imposing a decision from the top. But I hope they do not go out of the frying pan into the fire, anyway.
Agree! And if the devs are responsible enough, not only should they guide you but also improve the existing documentation/wikis, because a build issue or a doubt about anything unclear that affects one person who speaks up can potentially be affecting a lot of other people who do not even dare to ask.
There are many politicians who are going to profit from this event, for sure.
The occasion to ban opposition parties, censor non-aligned press and furtherly restrict people’s freedom is too perfect to be missed.
Efficient of inefficient, polluting or non-polluting, exploitative (for both land and people) or not, agriculture is still the basis of a large part of the world’s economy.
If it were to collapse, I don’t dare to imagine how many angry jobless people there would be and what they could do. If people in IT get laid off, no one cares, but farmers scary./s
Same, its existence gives me a little of hope even in the toughest moments. I don’t care if people aren’t always nice/polite, you have to deal with it IRL or on any online platform.
Lemmy has always been a sort of “cure” for me, listening to different people’s opinions and learning something new or a new perspective on things every day.
You’re welcome, help yourself!
Researching why large parts of the population have been marginalized and denied access to improved life conditions (thus avoiding the skyrocketing dissent these alt-right movements are embodying) and/or improve the education system so that people gain “immunity” to plot theories some propaganda is making use of would have been a better way to spend time imho.
