Lol! You’re absolutely right. From my point of view, though, the democratic party is so fully captured and out of touch with actual issues that they’re beyond being reasoned with, so it should almost go without saying who I’m referring to. And yes, I acknowledge how completely fucked that is.
They’ve created this absolutely monstrous situation where we always have to choose between letting people we care about get hurt, or a tiny glimmer of hope of something better, and even though I pushed to avoid the former, I’m fully sympathetic to both sides.
I personally agreed with undecided in principle and was sympathetic that Harris largely ignored them. The problem is that trying to leverage their position for actual good policy outcomes made for this nasty prisoner’s dilemna situation where both parties chose the bad option.
I honestly thought that they’d eventually come around because of just how bad Trump was going to be for democracy, and moreover for the people they cared about. Sadly, they were so devoted to their game of chicken that some of their loved ones will pay for it.
I also don’t think it’s that callous to engage in a little bit of “I fucking told you so.”

I will warn you, it’ll push your requirement for understanding game mechanics, and make you solve problems in new ways from the base game. It’s also not feasibly beatable without at least some understanding of circuits, logistic mechanics, and (space) trains.

I’d highly recommend beating the base game first if you haven’t already. The complexity really ramps up quite a bit, so if you struggle with the base game, it might be better to hold off. That said, if you’re confident in your problem solving skills and willing to push through some of the tougher bits, you could totally jump right in to Space Age.

I’ve seen a few graphs in my day, and they generally don’t do that. Sure, it could happen, but it almost certainly won’t. :(
That said, the US and China both making steady progress is very good, but then again, a Trump presidency certainly might see some of that reverse.
I think the big questions is: how do we get Russia and India to curb their emissions? If India follows China’s per capita curve, but with a 20 year delay, it’ll be disastrous. They’re going to need significant help to continue industrializing without seeing a huge rise in emissions.
I don’t think I’d have seen this coming even 5 years ago, but China really might be positioned to be a global climate leader.

I think what’s incredibility obvious to you and I is an area of willful and encouraged ignorance for some who benefit from the results of their ignorance. I think that the media is largely complicit is beyond distasteful, but it’s also the reality we live in.

I really wanted to like DS. The world seems really interesting, and so does the story. Maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance, but I found the gameplay to swing between boring and frustrating, with a side of gorgeous scenery.
It did seem strange how poorly things end with the voodoo boys. You can get out without a fight, but you can’t make any friends. It seems to me like asides from kinda betraying you, they’d make for pretty natural allies against netsec and Arasaka.
