You normally have to buy minecraft first. There are cracked clients but those wont work with normal servers. I think there is a way to allow them in server settings but it means player skins wont be loaded and everyone would have the same skin. Idk if there are any other differences.

I can see considering with what happened with wechat I can see stuff like happening more.

This is the spawn area of the Knokelmaat seed. I am facing south in the screenshot but behind me to the north there is a plains village and to the west there is a desert village with a camel.

Most of them are cash grabs or cheap knock offs. I want more voxel games that are built with passion that can stop microsofts monopoly. An alternative I think would be cool is the community modding microsoft out of minecraft with special accounts that do not rely on microsoft. Luanti aka Minetest looks promising as an alternative.

Understandable I think I am at 300 though I don’t let a number dictate what content I make. I actually have rules I have set for myself when making videos. Rule 1 do not ask for people to like or subscribe let them decide for themselves. Rule 2 If I got bored in the middle of making a video and decide its not worth it I will just not do the video since I only like working on stuff I enjoy regardless of the algorithm. Rule 3 is no video 10 minutes or over which was to prevent mid-roll ads though I found out recently its actually 8 minutes before they do those. So I have 1 or two videos at around 8 to 9 mins before I knew that. I actually was recording a minecraft video that was speed up of me just playing it. But I deleted it before uploading it because I realized it was kind of boring especially since I don’t speak in my videos so it would just be random minecraft gameplay.

Nice my advice with youtube/streaming is just do what you enjoy as long as you like what you are doing. It is better to be passionate than to be a slave to the algorithm.

I guess you would need to factor in the building electricity to keep the lights on etc. Though as far as I know bank transactions don’t involve highly powered machines trying to 1 up each other to solve a transaction resulting in more power being used. I misread that as you were going to turn coloring into a podcast. A video podcast of just someone coloring sounds like a good idea to be honest.

My problem with the power use is has coal/ fossil fuels been used that would have not been used otherwise. If being ASIC resistant leads to less coal being burnt because not everywhere uses renewable energy than it is better than the alternative of having coal hungry ASIC machines burning through resources.

More minecraft open source clones. or a modded community version of mc that works without microsoft. The game belongs to the community and I think we should take it back from the corporation.
