Dispersed camping is any designated campsite that allows you to show up and go as you please. In Montana, they’re everywhere and frequently have spots to put your RV or car. “Dispersed” is a designation by the NFS for these sites

FINALLY. This is what I’ve been waiting for.
Please share! I fell out of contact with my friends there over the pandemic and heard nothing about this.
Ah I see! You see I am also American and have an automatic, but don’t have the funds or space for boats, caravans, or horses. I definitely did not know that about the torque converter, so thank you for that info!
I guess I just always assumed that those with the money and land for those activities you listed are wealthy enough to be in the extreme minority, but the way you say this makes me think my friends across the pond have a different perspective. Perhaps I am also in a bit of a bubble, having grown up in and only talk to people in a similar economic class.
What do you find people want to tow? I’m often at a loss when people bring this up because I’ve never once had a moment in my life where I was disappointed by the lack of towing capacity of my small car
When I didn’t have a working dishwasher eating out was way more appealing because in addition to no prep, it meant no dishes.
The home button? Like you don’t spend time in the home menu of your phone?
I also use square. I don’t think I could use a smartphone that has a different layout anymore. But my first smartphone was a Windows phone, so it’s engrained in me.
If I had to guess it’d be the danger of that thing snapping and hitting your cat in the face
Literally the only reason I use android is because of custom launchers and the ability to use a file explorer. Everything else is just the same
Thing is I don’t think everyone is like that. I don’t think others really do hate at much as internet people tend to hate. Everyone in my real life cannot relate to those statements
Sure, but if someone really loves milkshakes and they find a specialty ice cream place that doesn’t do non-dairy, they’ll just have to walk away either disappointed or filled with toots
Damn, and ultimately who has lived a more satisfying and fulfilling life?
You can view this content in desktop mode, it’s only on mobile outside the app that you can’t view it
I don’t have a source for this but I had been told it was in an attempt to try to convert Venezuelans to Catholicism
Very cool! Were you going out specifically looking for mushrooms or just happen upon one? I’ve always wanted to see a real Euro-asian muscaria in person, the nice red guys. Very jealous :)
Definitely weird, several months earlier than the earliest expected month afaik.
I never thought I’d say this but I wish it was dead
My phone also exclusively recommends pictures of me and my ex partner. The icon on my home screen is always her, every time I open the app at the top it shows “memories” albums of just pictures of her, etc. It already compiles photos of her face, why can’t I just select “don’t show this again” or something?
Yeah that’s totally fair, I felt weird writing that because that was how I was brought up thinking of it. I suppose where I live, the dispersed camping is very clean cut and does show up on NFS listings, so I’ve learned to think of it differently recently. I suppose at the very least me and many other people just call any first come first serve camping “dispersed” because of this 🤷♀️
Whatever the case, it certainly doesn’t need to be a backpacking spot.
