I got run over, broke my arm, got surgery, and still love bike commuting. I won’t let reckless drivers have the power to affect my lifestyle.
360 camera on my helmet now and live in a more bike friendly place.
I’ve also thrown my bike in the trunk and then biked home. Easy option for those able to bike and live close enough. Also, lots of cities now have bike share stations all around.

Try out Shokz bone conducting headphones. They are awesome, you can hear the world around you, and the app has a vocal booster mode that makes listening to podcasts much better. It works really well on my 1.5 hour bike commute in traffic with road noise, and I can still hear the cars passing by.

Kryptonite is the best brand for bike locks and I use the NY Fahgettaboudit lock for my ebike. It’s rated 10/10 for security. This goes on the frame and a cable goes through both wheels.
I think it’s just not for me. Space operas and the like are too tedious. My preference in writing is for immediacy and action, not tangential explanations of dynastic lineage, lengthy asides on culture, etc.
I’ve tried so many times to read this and can never get past the first couple chapters. Just doesn’t keep my attention.
Maybe try converting the PDF to another file type, such as Mobi, first and then epub?
