1·5 months agoOkay this sounds like a major win win. I’m guessing security is probably better too. I’m building a new PC soon and this is looking incredibly enticing.
Do tell about this. Are there any downsides? Any compatibility issues with hardware or software?

Their apparent solution to this is more live service games (at least from a few weeks or so ago).

I’m in the US and opted into the beta for the AI stuff, but so far my experience has been generally positive.

1·6 months agoSorry, meant that I don’t want them to end up making these games to be full of micro transactions just so it hits insane profit goals.
At least with Rebirth, it worked in terms of gameplay and has reached critical success, but their scale of how much more money it should make is just so insane. It’s not a games as a service game and it isn’t filled with micro transactions and not should it be. I just hope this doesn’t cause them to start heading more into that direction.

13·6 months agoOnly thing I want my Steam Deck to do that it can’t is force these asshat companies into removing their bullshit must be online to play single player games “feature”.
If you have an automatic or manual movement, it’ll also be waterproof.
3·7 months agoThey’ve been doing this for ages. Some think it’s just Old Reddit either.
And at least you won’t waste more money on having to upgrade later when you’re deemed ready. I’d rather learn on equipment I’m going to use for years than on something shit and have to upgrade shortly after.
