  • Disagree. I actually feel like things are ALWAYS good enough for most gamers, and the entire industry is slipping. In general. There are still a few great things around here and there, but overall, a lot of it really is rehashes of the same things.

One thing that I do to mentally cut through all the bullshit is ask myself “what is the game?” And a lot of the time, it’s the same things, or even literally nothing. If a game doesn’t have a fail state, I don’t think it’s technically even a game, I think it falls under a puzzle or an interactive story. Not to say those things are bad, I like both of those, but just as an example of the gaming industry slipping and being lazy. Because making innovation in the gaming industry is hard. But, we are gamers, and we learn and need challenges and novelty.

And I think that most buyers of games spend money on bad games, which incentivises CAPITALISM and investment firms to do whatever it can to make money, including gambling, fomo, and all the other dirty destructive and lazy tricks to hook gamers who don’t know any better to continue chasing easy dopamine.

Like, there’s a reason big money has noticed gaming, and that companies that consistently do evil shit continue to stay in business and make fucking awful games that are actively terrible for the community. There’s a reason that like half of kids now want in game currency for Christmas.

PROTIP: to put a tiny bit of spicy in your hot chocolate. Not enough that you can taste, but just enough that you can just barely faintly feel it in the back of your throat, as it enhances the sweetness without relying on salt. I generally do like a micro-pinch or cayenne powder, since that’s the easiest and what I generally have on hand consistently.

If you can taste spicy, it’s too much.

  • Real. Every year, my partner and I and other partners or friends are welcome to join us, go out into the forests and legally cut down a tree.

It’s a pain in the ass, it’s adventure, it’s a party, it’s fun. It’s also way cheaper than just buying one. I think we paid like $13 for the state park purpose licence this past weekend.

I have a tradition I made up for this, too. Every year, I cut a puck off the bottom of the tree before I put it in the stand. I drill a hole through it, label it with the year with a marker, and hang it from the tree. I think this will be our 7th year? It hasn’t been decorated yet because our living room is super small and a disaster and the tree is currently in the kitchen.

I find that the challenge gives purpose to time, and gives us excuse to socialize more in these dark months.

There’s basically no ethical porn. Even under capitalism. Especially under capitalism.

    However, I like porn.

There are varying degrees of ethical infringements, as morality is not simply binary.

As… Who I am… I have always found finding porn made for me to be difficult. But, I think that process is important, as it helps you be honest with finding who you are and what you like. I think guilt, shame, and fear are incredibly sad. And while life is full of varying things to do, missing out on one’s own sexuality and possibilities of finding bliss and happiness in your sexual prime is an egregiously evil effect of prudism and puritanism. There’s definitely more to life than sexual activities, but… They’re also extremely social, fun, good for you, and critically core to fulfillment and growth in so many ways.

I suppose I don’t enjoy porn as much as I used to. At least I don’t consume it as much as I used to. And that’s not for lack of wanting, it’s just most porn today sucks ass and I would much rather be doing than watching all the popular boring stuff. It’s almost like fomo. Not always, but sometimes you want to DO, not watch, yeah?

Like maybe once you start doing really freaky stuff in real life, your standards go up for stimulation. But at the same time, maybe I have a much better idea what I like and most porn is catering to different people.

Yeah I dunno. It’s just porn. Celebrate being alive as best you can. And don’t hurt other people unless there’s consent >:)
