honestly Ubuntu is getting too much shit by the Linux forum dwellers. it works great, is newbie friendly, and a lot of very specialized industry software, if they support any Linux whatsoever, it’s gonna be Ubuntu. i tried running Firefox on my 2018 budget phone and every https handshake takes 5 awkward seconds and it’s more like 0.5 seconds on brave. it’s open source, built in dark mode, and runs well for me. it’s not even a gut feeling thing, on Android this is objectively beating the competition within the privacy conscious space.
