I just read the description on IMDB, and good lord what a fever dream. But the real selling point for me is the disembodied head of Billy Connolly being a loyal companion to a family. Consider me signed up.

I was wrong to say carbon footprint, I suppose I’m curious about who has contributed the most to polluting the environment and damaging our climate.
I have often thought about who the person with the worst carbon footprint would be if you accounted for factors like inventions/policies/war etc. This answers my question, unless there are even worse contributors.
…no. Sincerely, a taxpayer P.S. have you considered budgeting and not paying for expensive coffee to pay for your expensive hobby?
Generative Ai is such a drain on our resources. While I am happy this is bringing about more green energy sources, watching it be poured into such meaningless bullshit is depressing.
Feeling wasteful in the between 4 and 6 category. That is, if I am away from home and there is no bidet. That is just what I feel adequately safe/dry with
They had already seen the show a month prior? It was a shitty thing to do regardless, but it just seems so spiteful to prevent someone from seeing the show for the first time just so your kid can see it twice back to back.
The budget constraints on these Indie movies can often make the team behind them get incredibly creative in their filmmaking. While I think that has been beneficial and exciting in a lot of movies, it must be terribly restrictive to directors and the other creatives who have to jump through so many hoops to get films made. I think ultimately, it just means that costs will get cut in places that no one wants to see. That is a shame. I wish there was room for more mid budget movies to let these great directors have more room to breathe financially. That way the crew and cast are not limited and getting paid the bare minimum.
I am sure it will suddenly be too expensive for them to safely decommission the platforms.
My favorite easy fiction that helps me unwind is Agatha Christie mysteries. There is a reason she is the greatest mystery ŵritwr of all time. She sets up compelling situations and makes her way to a damn satisfying conclusion by the end.
A few of her shorter but still excellent stories: The Secret Adversary N or M The Unexpected Guest 3 Blind Mice Halloween Party Murder of Roger Akcroyd
Also if you like Mysteries I have to plug my all time favorite: 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
It is a great mystery in which the protagonist wakes up with no memories and has 8 chances to solve a murder.
The people I have chosen to spend my days with. My spouse, my child, a few friends. And also daydreaming about vacation…specifically vacationing with all of those people. That would be incredible.
Did not know what to expect when I read the headline, and it used the term scratched. Then, the statement goes on to say a box cutter was used. What the fuck.
Why do I feel like in a few years we will be watching a youtube video from the likes of “Climate Town” explaining how all the AI and tech giants were awarded these subsidies and used them to fuck up the world even more? It just seems like there is no way to win and the governing bodies can’t keep the money flowing towards where it is needed and away from the pockets of CEOs.
I have a newborn, and my watch continues to tell me my sleep score is abysmal. That isn’t likely to change anytime soon. I wish the sleep tracking was better, but I also kinda wish there was an option for personal circumstances that could acknowledge the “bad data” and have it not reflect on your health.
For example, I tracked my weight during pregnancy just out of convenience since I use the connect app for so much. The weight gain and slower training schedule did not reflect well on the advice the app was giving me. I know a normal person should be getting more steps in Garmin, but in the 3rd trimester, that isn’t going to happen. I know I could have taken the watch off or not tracked these things, but then I wouldnt have an accurate picture when I return to working out.
There are so many interesting games I see that require internet multiplayer and voice chat. I would love to play them with friends but do not want to interact with random people in a game.
I’m confused. I did not think cars could reach Mount Everest. Thought you had to trek in and out through lots of foothills.
Oh I still have fun playing it when I can! But it’s more of a desperate attempt at survival and less a strategic hunt for the bounty and skilled firefight with enemies. I wish this existed back when I was in college and had more free time to play and friends available to co-op with. I’m so anxious about letting down teammates I’m matched with online.
I haven’t watched that in years! I’d almost forgotten how much young me liked it and now older me sees more wisdom in it.
I see you are well versed in bird law.
Signs (2002) is my favorite horror movie to watch during spooky season. While it was mocked so perfectly in Scary Movie 3, I feel like the atmosphere it creates is still so unnerving. The humor in the movie adds an element of B movie campiness to an otherwise serious movie.
Cabin in the Woods (2011) disassembles the horror tropes in a hilarious way. Inspired by the Evil Dead movies.
