My wife has one. She doesn’t ride it as much as I ride my C but we throw them in the trunk and ride on scenic trails in the area. I take it whenever my C Line is out of commission and it’s pretty nice still because it’s lighter than my C Line by maybe 5 lbs. It doesn’t sound like a lot but when you’re carrying it, you will feel the difference.

I really enjoy it. I’ve always wanted to be a road bicyclist, but being Asian and of shorter stature, it never really felt comfortable to buy a road bike. Maybe road bikes just aren’t comfortable for anybody and I’m overthinking it. But I felt at ease on a Brompton.
The smaller wheels do make it much more maneuverable than a standard bike and I can easily weave through cars that are sitting at a light but of course it’s pretty dangerous. And I can take the bike easily onto trains and public transit without taking much space.
Lugging it up a flight of stairs with my work bag can be a bit taxing, but I see it as exercise and mostly only do it when the escalators/elevators are out of service.

It’s 8-10 lbs heavier and it hauls a 15-20 lb work bag. It was a stretch to buy that bike. So like you, the only way I’m buying this one is if I strike it rich.

After the initial hours spent figuring out how to play together (of which there are still a myriad of issues and hurdles - a true Monster Hunter staple), we’ve been having a lot of fun together.
I’m no Monster Hunter vet or anything like that. I’ve played previous Monster Hunters, but Wilds is the first I’ve played until credits rolled.
I knew what to expect going into it. I knew not to expect seamless coop play. Don’t not expect any captivating story (I skip most of the dialogue, and don’t really know why I’m killing the monsters half of the time). Do expect a convoluted inventory system and interface.
Really, all I’m here for is to slay monsters with friends and occasionally scroll through a bad inventory list, applying a few wrong potions or antidotes before finding the right one.

I spent so many hours on this game. Probably replayed it hundreds of times. The boss battles were so epic. SIGMA! And then discovering the secret shouryuken move from Street Fighter! Wow!

Elden Ring follows you everywhere.
It sure is. It’s my favorite game of all time. The story, art, gameplay, music which in my opinion are perfect in their own respect, all come together in such perfect harmony as to be greater than the sum of their parts.

cccrontab@lemmy.worldto Books@lemmy.world•What book(s) are you currently reading or listening? February 252·4 months agoFor the most part he refrains from telling you to do XYZ because as he states, we’re all unique, and your healthcare, and diet should be tailored so. He lays out all the strategies and the science behind them and tells you what he does and how he does it. He also tells you what he recommends to his patients. One of his main pillars is that we need to shift from this paradigm of reactionary healthcare and medicine (acting post-diagnosis) to one of active prevention and early (or earlier) screening and detection.
Ooh I’m excited about this one!
This was a very nice read. Thank you!

cccrontab@lemmy.worldto Books@lemmy.world•What book(s) are you currently reading or listening? February 254·4 months agoI’m reading Outlive by Peter Attia, MD. It’s sort of scaring me into building healthier habits. It’s also provided a list of things I can talk to my doctor about such as additional screenings, some meds to try, etc. The question is, will my health insurance cooperate? Obligatory FREE LUIGI!
The Elden Ring Seamless Co-op is probably the only way I would have been able to finish the game and the DLC. It allowed myself and 3 others (who probably wouldn’t be able to complete it either) to beat most if not all the bosses.
I’ll check out Fallout 3 Wanderers Edition.

The new bugs are scary especially with higher numbers but we didn’t encounter any frustration. We do generally try to run from breaches rather than make a stand. Our kill counts were very elevated like you mentioned.
Same here. Elden Ring was my first souls game. I would never have beat it without the seamless co-op mod. I just don’t have skill, time and patience for it.
Night Reign seems to me like an arcade version of Elden Ring. It forces you to move faster and make snap decisions (that blue flame closes in fast!). We got to Day 2 last night but I could see us pouring lots of hours into it.
