You’re requiring the entire American populace to have the same level of being informed as yourself in order for this plan to work. In the real world, lots of people are incredibly ignorant of the actual political situation in the US. The democrats need to adjust their messaging to get those who aren’t politically engaged but vote. That means speaking on the material reality for the average person and discussing how to solve those issues. That means EMBRACING MORE PROGRESSIVE POLICIES.

Yeah, if you know a leftist who stayed home because Harris wasn’t left enough, shame the fuck out of them. But that isn’t the same as saying Harris lost because she didn’t embrace the left. Most Americans don’t know they’re left-leaning because anything “socialist” must be evil.

  • Project 2025 is now in play. Abortion ban, porn ban, removal of federal employees who aren’t “loyal” enough. The only saving grace is that Republicans can’t govern for shit, so there’s going to be a lot of wasted time on infighting. Not enough, though, since a lot of it can be pushed through by the president alone.

Oh! And the oldest, most conservative SCOTUS justices will retire, solidifying the conservative super-majority on the court for the next 20-40 years. The only way to change that is to change the makeup of the court, which requires a trifecta. So yes, it isn’t the end of the world, but it isn’t “no big deal” either.

In order to undo the damage, we have to fundamentally change the Democrat Party to be just as far left as the Republicans have moved right. And that took them over a decade to accomplish (and they have the easier task, since big business wants both parties to move right).

  • Whales aren’t people who can afford whatever, so they spend whatever. Whales are people invested enough that the perceived value added is more than the money it costs. Most whales, therefore, are regular people who are addicted to the game rather than moneybags who could easily afford it. So yeah, it does smell of victim blaming. We should be calling out the bad business practice, rather than calling out those being victimized by the bad business practice.
