cpo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•to anyone who lost someone in the Ukraine War: what were they like?182·2 years agoI have an opinion on the wording in your question.
Is this gesture related? I have disabled gestures because it was too sensitive for me (upvoting posts, saving posts all automatically 😅).
After disabling it works very nice, I just vane to open the action menu for me to upvote or reply.
cpo@lemmy.worldto Sync for Lemmy@lemmy.world•Sync users who joined Lemmy on the app launch day, how has your first week been so far?English7·2 years agoI have used it for a short while, but one thing I can not appreciate is having all the display settings (cudo’s for that) but all Inwant is everything look the same over all accounts.
And a “sync subscriptions and block lists” option would rock!

cpo@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•I hope this post qualifies, but laptop on last legs, planning for a replacement...English2·2 years agoI am currently using a refurbed HP EliteDesk G3 with i5, 16G and 500G SSD.
It is small, silent and uses little power.
I run Portainer on it with a couple of stacks like:
- Home assistant
- Development tooling (git repo’s, CI stuff)
It handles it beautifully!
Not sure how attached you are to a laptop though.
(in case Chairman Xi or Strongman Putin wants to also see what my cats are up to).
😁

cpo@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What do you use to document your home lab?English2·2 years agoThere are tons of tutorials around, but the basic gist is that you only use a couple of commands (or even a good frontend) in git, especially when it’s a one (wo)man show.
I highly recommend it!

And then there is the native system. It’s ugly, it’s slow. And it does not even update.
This is my last Nissan…
For evaluation talks with my employees ofcourse…
Sounds intriguing. How does that look?
