For instance, half of the content on Lemmy is American politics and news. It can be hard as a non-American to find a good balance of content that’s closer to home.

The details matter if the presidential candidate is accused of lying.
I saw a local (Aussie) punk band once and thought they were singing about “titties and cheesecake”, turns out it was “tinnies on tuesday“. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed. They were perhaps more disappointed when I told them in the beer garden after the show. I still wish for titties and cheesecake.
You’re voting for no one, giving more of a chance for the greater of two evils and still doing nothing. Where your fucking guillotine?
I think it would come up removed on Lemmy.
Lmao. They’ve got an army from another country tearing through their land. I reckon they’ve got larger problems than “this isn’t the best form of democracy in the world”. Again, no solution from you apart from lying on their backs.
So if enough people won’t fight the government should shut down and let the invaders take over? Is that your alternative? Civilisations sometimes need to force people to work for a common good. See also vaccines.
I assume CO2 is only a portion of the exhaust. Not sure if that’s what you were meaning already?
Edit: No idea of the quality of this source, but:
So what’s coming out of a car exhaust is 13 per cent CO2, 13 per cent water (26 per cent sub-total) and 73 per cent nitrogen gas. The air that you’re breathing right now is 78 per cent nitrogen gas, 21 per cent oxygen, and one percent everything else.
I assume they’re saying it’s not helping people get away from Big Tech if folks are gonna use Chrome, a bunch tech product.
IDK. I reckon the 1:8B is a bit worse
Living life in fear.
Come on antitrust
GOOD post.
Had to go find the original. It’s as incel as I expected.
They’re racing to be the first to make a joke about being hard to quit.
We’re stuck with this kind of behaviour though. What am I going to do? Throw out my Xbox because I don’t like what they’re doing? Maybe this will make people choose a different console next generation, but that’s barely sending a message if there’s only a couple of viable options.
I hate self checkout because they make the system frustrating as if they don’t trust you. Which they don’t. So they make it weigh items and it yells if you’re too slow putting the item in the bagging area.
If you don’t trust me to do it. Pay someone else to do it.
Ooo 3°! This is new 🫠
Go have a read of some doomsday scenarios. I’m not saying they’re right, but it feels plausible to me.
Since it’s for the betterment of the community perhaps it should come from tax money? Just big brain ideas.
