I don’t listen to pop music much but hip hop has been popular in Korea for a long time now. Same with neighboring East Asian and Southeast Asian countries. I guess they’re just not nearly as popular overseas but they’re mainstream enough locally you’ll hear it wherever you go.

edit: Other than music, hip hop dance and fashion was pretty popular too at least when I was in high school.

Oh boy I have a lot but the one that stands out is Paprika. It’s the only Satoshi Kon film I haven’t seen. I don’t know when I’m ready to watch it yet.

Fontaine story was great in my opinion. It’s (still) my favorite region so far. The intermission quest after Fontaine is great btw. Probably my favorite intermission quest too. For Natlan, I haven’t completed it yet. I find it a bit confusing and lost track of what’s going on.

Like what @ryedaft@sh.itjust.works said, there’s a lot of QoL stuff and they continue to add more. Still no artifact loadout but you can see what other people are building in-game and a tool to automatically equip recommended artifacts (I don’t recommend it though).

For the tool to make artifacts with your desired stats, it consumes a type of resource that’s only obtainable through certain missions in Natlan (I think), but mainly by discarding other artifacts. It needs a lot of artifacts though, and you can only craft the resource once every patch (I think, I’ve used it once and haven’t touched it again).

I’m still annoyed by time-gated events though. I missed out on the summer event and I didn’t complete the Sumeru one. Sometimes I feel like the limited-time events are better than the actual game lol.

Anyway, I think it’s still pretty enjoyable.

But understandable if you wouldn’t want to touch it, Doesn’t it make sense to let each user on the Fediverse to choose that?

There are already two projects that mirror/bridge Reddit posts to Lemmy. Unsurprisingly, they have very little interaction right now. I’ve subscribed to some, and even I don’t interact with those myself. Not because I hate it though, but because I find no reason to.

I don’t know how to play her correctly yet. The donuts are funny though and it gives a whole new meaning to “circle impact”.

Yeah I think Stevem makes clickbaity titles too. His anime director video series are titled “THE [DIRECTOR’S NAME] PROBLEM” which made me hestitant to watch. But after watching the Love & Pop segment in his Hideaki Anno video, I realized he does his research surprisingly well.

Actually he does mention Deedlit (Record of Lodoss War) a lot throughout the video. He mentions Wizardy in the beginning too.

Good explanation. I think many people miss out the point of Shinji. Too many people assume that protagonists are always people that you should aspire to be, but Shinji’s messed up self and traumatic past is something that still resonates with many youth today.
