Even if we ignore the fact that he can easily coax our useless congress into agreeing, the entire government has done nothing but dance around this requirement ever since the end of WWII. You won’t see a congressional declaration of war unless its literally WWIII.

mlg@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How bad is it that Israel has attacked Iran? English6·5 days agoI honestly think Iran is too defanged to make a difference with escalation. Israel flexed their capability heavily and eliminated part of Iran’s C&C and a lot of their military and nuclear assets in one go, and they’re still continuing with strikes for any mop up.
It’s a win-win situation for them because they’ve got the US to defend them and they can go almost full force on whatever they deem a threat.
It might technically backfire for Netanyahu if Iran fails to mount any serious counteroffensive, at which point he won’t have any escalation path to stay in power, but it’s still a big win for Israel’s interests.
Also not related to the question, but this proves HTS in Syria is just another CIA project that will follow Washington’s demands no questions asked since they clearly allowed Israel to operate within their airspace.

Cmon there’s gotta be some soldier who took a photo or video
That was probably inspired by the USA’s crappy national curriculum system of forcing kids to learn and use the lattice method which is 100% some sort of scam to make it look like math illiterate children are passing class and failing upwards.
I mean seriously, we’ve been using base 10 arab system for a millenia, but you’re trying to tell me the department of education came up with a better method of drawing a damn chi square matrix abomination that makes even the two millenia old roman numeral system look good in comparison.

mlg@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.ml•Live updates - Israel launches major strike on Iran's nuclear and military sites.English4·6 days agoI mean yeah, they always know.
The question is how invovled were they in the attack itself (logistics, access to US surveillance, planning, etc.)
Trump seems to be implying this is “off hands” like he stopped engaging the Houthis in the red sea a while back.
I wonder if this is Netanyahu thrashing a bit in an effort to keep the US invovled, or the US proxying an Iranian attack with more plausible deniability.
mlg@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.ml•Sounds of explosions heard in Iran’s capital, TehranEnglish2·6 days agoIt feels weird that Iran, a rather large country, is incapable of defending its airspace against aistrikes from Israel, which doesn’t even border Iran.
Coming from the India-Pakistan BVR dogfight where we saw hundreds of fighters, drones, s2a missile batteries, complete AWACS and EW platforms, and some IAF planes shot down at ranges exceeding 150km, it’s jarring seeing just how non functional Iran’s airforce and air defense is against a modern threat.
I don’t think they’re even capable of properly replicating the AIM-54, which is now an outdated LRAAM platform.

Whether it was ye olde government red tape or willful negligence, we’ll never know for sure.

Shocked I tell you shocked.
People are still assuring me Gaza would also have been magically saved if we had successfully voted in Harris.
It’s honestly baffling to see people actively support Gaza whilst simultaneously supporting Israel as a serious international partner.
The amount of times I’ve read “Yeah but the dems will never drop Israel because they’re a key aly” without questioning why they’re a key aly is too damn high lol.

Most of the repair will be for damaged consoles. Switch 1 battery lasted pretty well considering most phone batteries begin to deteriorate around 4 years.
Aside from that though, I expect the joycon drift issue to be unfixed which will be the real issue, especially as warranties expire.

Dunno what exactly Trump accepted for them to back down, but it took a month or two.

Apple has been reportedly “entering” the game market for decades now for nothing to show.
I have much higher hopes for Linux taking over than MacOS ever becoming good for gaming.

I guess more likely Fedora being an RPM distro with its own set of system standards keeps people from switching.
I would think Bazzite and Nobara would have boosted the usage, but I guess not as much as I think.

Yeah it’s great because even without a make plugin, you can just add your make command to the vscode actions that’ll run your makefile.
Or even better, get the plugin which will auto populate targets from the makefile lol
