Nö, also bei mir ist Wero einfach als Zahlungsmittel in meine Banking-App integriert.

Opensource wird schwer (kein Wille da), aber es gibt ja immernoch Girocard und Wero.

Edit: Also Wero gibt’s noch nicht, zumindest nicht im Handel, aber es soll kommen und wenn das halbwegs funktioniert und von den Händlern angeboten ist, sind mein PayPal-Account und meine Google-Wallet Geschichte.

I don’t know if I’d go so far as to say it’s by design, but I definitely share your observation that capitalism doesn’t leave much time and energy you would need to pursue hobbies, and it’s way easier to get a dopamine high by consuming.

Even if this phenomenon is not by design, it is definitely synergizing very well with capitalism, and therefore there are people who exploit it and, in turn, support capitalism with their actions.

It is actually a depressing example of Niklas Luhmann’s systems theory, which states that every system inherently tends to stabilize itself.

Reading actual books (on paper!) in the bathtub is what I’ll never get: How do you flip pages? Do you dry your hands for each page or do you just live with soggy pages? Also the humidity in general is bad for your books… That’s why e-readers are so awesome.

Yes, Elite Dangerous focuses the individual side of things while X4 focuses on the management aspect. They ARE quite different but both great games in their own way imho.

Having kids is not an issue as long as you’re willing to quit sleeping.
