They’d have to somehow keep Obama from running, so they can’t just say “third term”. It would have to be jerry-rigged to hell to let Trump run but keep Obama out.

Also makes me suspect that republicans have zero clue who they can run after The Donald. Why else would they even bother trying to mention having the guy in office after 2028? The methods to do that are either a constitutional amendment (they don’t have anywhere near a big enough majority to get one through) or unconstitutional means (scary, but also way more work/trouble than running a competent candidate and winning a normal election). It would be way easier to start grooming the heir apparent if they had any clue who that was.

Pre-Covid the 48oz container I buy cost about $2.50. The price spiked to about $5.00 during quarantine and has since fallen down to about $3.00. There’s a lot of items that have followed similar trends and, while they’re more expensive than they were in early 2020, they’re not at their Covid spike prices which is what everyone seems to think.

I don’t care about doing inventory or anything like that, but I’d like to be able to just stop things if I need to go check on the door or something. The outside world doesn’t stop just because I’m gaming.

I had one DM fight the absurd amounts of time combat took by instituting a minute rule: if you can’t describe your entire planned actions in a minute, you forfeit your turn.
There were lots of common-sense exceptions, but in general combat felt more like actual combat, and the whole thing felt more like an action-oriented story than a football game (where more time is spent planning the action than executing the action)

I’ve seen a construction using proper nouns (eg. Annas Haus) where an “s” indicates possession, but no apostrophe. This doesn’t seem to apply to non-proper nouns (das Haus der Frau) and is different from normal genitive construction that adds an “s” to masc/neut noun genders (das Haus des Mannes)

Guys get this idea that all they have to bring to the table is “I’m not a jerk” and the ladies will fall into their laps. The problem is, the jerk down the road is in better shape, has interesting hobbies, and/or has a real, dependable job. Being “nice” is like having two slices of bread and saying you have a sandwich. If you don’t put anything between the bread slices, everyone’s going to opt to order the burrito instead because it’s got an actual filling.
