We would like to update you on the status of the following items, about which we have received numerous comments from the community. To all those looking forward to this game, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
■Crashes and bug fixes
We are investigating/fixing critical problems such as crashes and freezing.
We will be addressing crashes and bug fixes starting from those with the highest priority in patches in the near future.
■The option of starting a new game
We are looking at adding a feature to the Steam version of the game that will allow players that are already playing to restart the game. We will announce more details as soon as we can.
■Paid DLC
All the items listed below can be obtained in-game or as paid DLC items.
Art of Metamorphosis - Character Editor
Ambivalent Rift Incense - Change Pawn Inclinations
Portcrystal - Warp Location Marker
Wakestone - Restore the dead to life!
500 Rift Crystals / 1500 Rift Crystals / 2500 Rift Crystals - Points to Spend Beyond the Rift
Makeshift Gaol Key - Escape from gaol!
Harpysnare Smoke Beacons - Harpy Lure Item
■Regarding Frame Rate
A large amount of CPU usage is allocated to each character and calculating the impact of their physical presence in various areas. In certain situations where numerous characters appear simultaneously, the CPU usage can be very high and may affect the frame rate. We are aware that in such situations, settings that reduce GPU load may currently have a limited effect; however, we are looking into ways to improve performance in the future.
The Dragon's Dogma 2 Team
Hooray, they’ve promised the bare minimum! Really still confused how you ship a game in 2024 without the ability to have multiple saves or even just start over if you’re unhappy with your character.
Because the devs planned on charging players $1.99 per save slot
Nah, that’d be too useful a feature for Capcom to charge for. All of their microtransactions are always pointless and bizarre to even include.
Yeah, I’m just so confused by this one, it seems like something designed to push the mtx for the character change, but that just sounds so ridiculous.
Like, what if I want to play a second run and start from scratch. Why is that something where I have to go delete files. It’s just sooo weird.
Well you can find items to change your appearance in-game within like an hour or two of playtime, so if the goal was to incentivize use of those items, it’s pretty ineffective.
Just one of many bizarre mysteries surrounding the game.
I mean the first one only lets you play one save at a time and doesn’t have multiple save slots.
But I agree. Games shipping without the possibility of having more than one saved game at a time is fucking stupid and makes no sense.
Really still confused
It’s dragon’s dogshit. Cutting corners and doing less than the bare minimum is part of the series.
your allowed to take a shit in the game but if you want to wipe your ass, that is a microtransaction. Don’t worry. You get used to the itching.
I’m at 6hrs of playing the game now and still don’t have enough in game currency to buy the item to change my character appearance once so I installed a mod and got 99 of that for free.
There’s no anticheat in the game?
If they blocked mods, the rage would be even worse. Its a single player game, there is not need for anti cheat. Not sure if it is the same but the only time the game checked for inconsistencies in DD1 was when you rented your pawn, hacked pawns were unable to be rented.

It’s the year of our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty Four, and Capcom is looking at adding a feature to start a new game in a single player RPG. Boutta start crytyping and see if that helps me express the feeling of reading this
Felt the same. Wtf? How can they seriously say something like that without laughing or committing a shame-suicide?
Idk, if you played the first Dragon’s Dogshit, but it is a case-study in how bad developers can be.
For whatever reason, the game had widescreen bars even on widescreens. It’s so fucking stupid, but the series is for idiots so I don’t expect more.
Still not a fan of Denuvo freaking out over proton.

I’m just going to say it, I’m EA level disappointed in this.
Despite the really shitty performance issues in the city, i really really love the game. The first one meant a lot to me as it released in a time things were very stressful and difficult for me. The micro transactions piss me off too but luckily all of it is just in the game itself and it seems primarily there to trick people into buying it if they don’t know they can just get all of it in the game, and make a couple of extra dollars off of it. Which just seems like a decision by the people in charge as other capcom games have the same kind of strange shitty micro transactions.
Story and gameplay wise, the game is a masterpiece. The world feels really alive and chucking goblins around is a blast.
I was able to make my character look exactly like me and my main pawn exactly like my wife to the point of it being uncanny.
I really hope that they can fix the performance issues so more people can enjoy the game.
Man … This is disappointing. Back to Baldurs Gate and Helldivers.
DIAF Capcom.
Trash game for idiots who cannot think for themselves.
Just like the first one.
