Pretty sure it’s because this community’s mods repurposed movies@lemm.ee after they had a falling out with the mod at moviesandtv@lemm.ee. So the content here is for both mediums.

If you don’t like seeing tv content there are film-only communities like movies@lemmy.world, the much smaller movies@kbin.social and a whole lot of niche communities for trailers, full films, etc. I keep a list, hit me up if you want it.
