The wildly anticipated anime feature opens in Japan on Friday — but very little is still known about it after Ghibli decided to do almost no marketing, instead asking fans to experience it with no preconceptions.
I wonder how the “no marketing, no trailer” will go for them. I’m sure people will show up to theaters anyways because it’s a Studio Ghibli movie though! But seems risky though, like only fans of the studio will hear about it and be interested, not much from anyone else.

Ghibli in Imax? If that isn’t enough, then we don’t deserve another.
Also, I’m kind of hoping it isn’t so crowded I can’t get good seats. Like I want it to be successful, but also selfishly not too successful.
