where was I crying? I expected the downvotes, otherwise I wouldn’t have put the hot take nomer into the comment in the first place ffs. I was genuinely surprised it took 6 downvotes before someone left a comment because from prior experience that happens a lot earlier. If you think I was crying maybe don’t try to interpret too much into everything? I get that there’s a lot of unmarked sarcasm and irony around but sometimes people just write what they actually want to say instead of wrapping it in 20 layers of metaphor. In this case I was genuinely stoked to get my first comment on a downvoted comment because I was also genuinely waiting for it.

Maybe I can sum it up like this: If I were unable to cope with negative feedback to my opinion I would not have written it down in a comment on a public forum in the first place.

Also not sure what you mean with “side” but if you believe it’s such a braindead take you might have to re-evaluate your stance on things. If an incredibly dumbed down version of a stance you (apparently) agree with even on some level makes you do a double take I suggest going back and reconsidering whether where you think you stand is actually where you stand. If at the end of it you come out of that with the opinion that I just worded things incredibly stupidly or am just an douche or whatever is another matter but imo it’s worth doing the retrospection in any case.
