edit: I’m using Android, v 2.24.3

When entering text for a reply, under the 3 dot menu to the right of the text formatting options

Problem 1) There are 3 identical-looking options for “Strikethrough”

The first one actually does Strikethrough

The second “Strikethrough” actually does Code formatting

The third “Strikethrough” actually does Spoiler formatting

Recommend correctly naming the second and third options, and changing appropriate icons to the left.

Problem 2) “Unordered List” and multiple “Ordered List” options look virtually identical.

I know those are the Common Mark terms for these things, but it could be visually clearer.

May I suggest adding more alternative names to make them clearer

  • one thing
  • another thing

The above is also called a “Bullet Points” or a “Bulleted List”

  1. number one
  2. number two

1st “Ordered List”: The above is called a “Numbered List”

Problem 3)

@ some text

2nd “Ordered List”: I’m not sure what the above does. Maybe this was supposed to invoke start-of-line Lemmy user pulldown reference? Like @zabadoh@ani.social

! some text

3rd “Ordered List”: I’m not sure what the above does either. Maybe this was supposed to invoke start-of-line Lemmy community pulldown reference? Like !anime@ani.social

Can confirm mine looks like this (iOS). Not sure what’s going on with OP’s menu icons but it must be a bug.

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to look like that screenshot from the iOS version that someone else posted below

Yeah, I don’t understand how that’s happening. Do you have android webview up to date? Are you running a special flavor of android?

One UI 7.0 if that means anything.

Checking on my old Motorola Android 11 phone, and Voyager’s menu items look okay.

Either something to do with how Samsung or Android 15 messes with things.

I tried installing a different launcher, Nova Launcher, but same thing.
